Gerd-Peter Eigner
Born in Malapane (tody’s Ozimek), Oberschliesien on the 21 of april in 1942. Studied history, economics, soziology and pedagogics in Hamburg and Oldenburg i. O. teacher for behaviour- and developemental disturbed children and teenagers in Bremen. Since 1971 free writer. Long stays in Southern Europe, North Africa and the Middle East. 1980-1991 Paris, since 1998 Berlin and near Roma. Publications: Golli, novel, DVA, 1978; Brandig, novel, Hanser, 1985; Mitten entzwei (straigth trough the middle), novel, Hanser, 1988. Lichterfahrt mit Gesualdo, novel, Hanser, 1996. Numerous audio dramas, narrations, poems, scenic texts and dancetheater (Traktate, UA Bremen 1973, Cheographie: Hans Kresnik). Gerd-Peter Eigner received different pizes and scholarships, among those the audio drama prize of the OR 1978 and the Villa Massimo scholarship Roma. In 1997 he was a guest in the Maison des écrivains et des traducteuers étrangers (M.E.E.T.) in Saint-Nazaire as well as in the castle Wiepersdorf. Beginning of the collaboration with the musicans Wolfgang Fuchs and Alexander von Schlippenbach (Musicalingua: Improvisation und Deklamation).
