Marco Frohberger
Two literature-freaks establish a literary prize out of pure delight in narrating: It is searched for unconventional short prose works, which are rewarded by printing the authors in a anthology. The two friends of concentrated narrating are called Marco Frohberger and Heinz Neidel and now they are presenting their discovery already for the fourth time, this time under the motto »Now«.
These trouvailles are one to eight pages long and arise from altogether 30 authors, which are as different as the narrative worlds they open up.
Several cultural and literary organizers have recognized the quality of this survey of the narrative and accompany the anthology with readings and presentations (for example the city of Frankfurt with a introduction during the Frankfurter Buchmesse in the art club / Steinernes Haus).

Kathrin and David, the central characters in Marco Frohberger’s novella, move in a world full of fragile living environments. When they meet, their pasts are more like piles of rubble, forming delicate burdens—but they are also connected by this commonality: keeping their previous misery present in order to find better ways of life.
Whether this will allow them to develop a shared concept for their lives is questionable: Kathrin, 32, art assistant, orphan, attractive, with strong emotional tendencies, has repeatedly undermined opportunities in her life; David, 35, failed writer, who is far better at caring for others in their fragility than for himself.
Marco Frohberger, an author who has proven himself in many short prose pieces depicting extraordinary human constellations, brings his duo together with a series of other characters as if in an experimental setup—and this is where his narrative derives its socially critical power: Is it possible to learn from each other when everyone involved knows how important it is to support each other?
With the skill of an accountant, someone had built a hiding place here, an exile of unwavering permanence and presence. A lover who had entered into a relationship with his art, literature, and music, making each of these unique pieces his own, which took on a special value because they were strangely aligned or displayed. A labyrinth that had grown into a place of retreat over the years, where one could enter and be overwhelmed by the soothing silence and eternity.
However Marco Frohberger moves his figures on their chessboard, as spectators we are not left out and must watch to see what we ourselves will make of this spectacle.
