Fifty years of poetry in Baden-Württemberg are half a century of intellectual history. The poems are standing in life-historical and cultural policy contexts – and who else than Reinhard Gröper with his role in the literary scene of the country would fit for making the atmosphere of these fifty years felt? Reinhard Gröper started writing a diary when he was not quite fourteen. Because of his decades-long occupation for literature and his preserved records, it seemed the thing to choose a distinctive entry for every year. Reinhard Gröper took the pick independent of the poetry selection of the editor Hermann Burger. The readers might seek out the references between the book's two components themselves. Every year, every poet, every diary entry, every poem stands for itself – yet still a nice entity arises from the network, which is together with the net of the dream surveyor lain down on the country.
