There —
are secrets.
A book of poems equaling richness of forms and density of E.E. Commings’ poetry, in english version.
Traces – A Study of Glances explores possibilities for interpreting the mean-ing of experience by the immersion into particular, often lopsided and paradoxical attitudes and the expressions thereof. It celebrates the drive for the maintainance of ideals while exposing the limitations of humanness and the creative result of this condition.
It has been written between weekly travels. The cover photograph of the Mont Blanc from the plane window symbolises this shift and the search for what can be defined as essential.
MOMENT
This is what I like, yes.
Hay, stacked up in softly spiky cubes,
golden in translucent earthy splendour.
This is where my heart can rest, bathed in gentle sun-
shine. My cheeks receive the sweet caress
of the air in its movement to and fro,
where the grain of stranded energy may conform to its
true fluidity as I am, here.
I am here, now.
My pulse is grounded as my tailbone latches onto the
ground. Clouds are toylike
next to the contact of my back against the wall,
simple as this straw that is for churning in the stock's
guts: those intestines for which
the sour oranges are reserved, to be cleaned
and cleared, and stuffed, as thoughts. I sit and rejoice for
though this moment will never return,
I am here.
